A small cookie policy.

01

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text record a website can ask a browser to store. Similar technologies include local storage and device or request identifiers. They can keep a service working, remember a preference, measure usage or support advertising.

02

What this site uses now

LankaTransfers uses local browser storage to preserve an unfinished transfer plan while you browse or refresh the page. For an eligible PayPal checkout, same-tab session storage keeps the opaque checkout token and booking-receipt details so a refresh can safely resume payment verification; it does not contain raw card data and is cleared by the browser when that tab session ends. The site does not currently set analytics, advertising or preference cookies, so there are no optional LankaTransfers cookies to accept or reject and no consent banner is shown.

The hosting and security infrastructure may process technical request identifiers or use strictly necessary, short-lived mechanisms to deliver and protect the site. These are used for operation and security rather than behavioural advertising.

03

External services and links

PayPal-hosted Standard Checkout is loaded only for an eligible fixed-price payment and may use its own storage or cookies under PayPal’s policy. Links to services such as the driver desk, Telegram or social-sharing destinations take you to another service, which may also set its own cookies after you open it. Embedded third-party advertising and tracking widgets are not part of the current LankaTransfers pages.

04

If this changes

If optional analytics or marketing technology is introduced, this policy will identify it and the site will request consent where required before that technology is activated. You can also delete or block cookies using your browser settings, although blocking essential technology can affect site operation.

For personal-data handling beyond cookies, read the privacy policy.

LankaTransfers customer app

At app.lankatransfers.com, essential secure cookies keep your email verification connected to your browser for ten minutes and keep you signed in for up to 30 days. These cookies cannot be read by page scripts. The app caches a generic offline notice; it does not cache your bookings, verification codes, account responses or payments. Push notifications are optional and can be disabled in Account or your device settings.
